About Susan
Susan Bolenbaugh is a Neptune Beach, FL artist who began drawing after a 38 year career as a teacher in public education. She began penciling "studies" in graphite, but now, in addition to black and white drawings, uses colored pencils, pastels and charcoal as well.
Her love of nature inspires much of her work. Studies of shells, butterflies and animals give her art a distinctive perspective of the world around us. Her unique pet portraits, wide variety of crosses and collection of Christmas cards always draw special praise. Other subject ideas come from beach and marsh areas close to her home. Certain items have original poetry included with the artwork. Her art is available in a variety of sizes, including note card sets.
Susan has exhibited at the Adele Grage Cultural Center. Her work may be found at a number of local venues including The Attic, In the Pink, and Driftwood.
